hi all! well... i have been absent but not lazy! i have been working away on the fabulous rinoa costume (which is taking tons of hours to complete btw). but i now have the entire body of this baby done! of course i still need to do the edging to go all around it and then make the arm bands as well. but this is a major accomplishment towards the goal! :) i'll just pat myself on the back now....
Oh my goodness! I'm quite new to knitting, never made anything with armholes. I've been trying to find some tips on how to make Rinoa's duster in one piece but it confuses me so much! Would you be willing to help me out? This looks amazing! Would love to make one to replace my knit store bought fabric duster I made for cosplay ^_^
ReplyDeleteYeah, I might be able to make up some instructions for you... I've been 'making it up' as I go somewhat! :) Contact me through Etsy and we'll see what we can do! anaiddesigns.etsy.com - on the left side there will be a 'contact' link. Let me know if you have any issues with it. :) Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHello my name is Catarina, I'm Brazilian cosplayer wanna congratulate the knit duster! I've tried to do but broke up numerous times, I gave up at the moment and am looking for a similar mesh knitting. I understand your work, I know I should not have been easy, and a process and time consuming but in the end brings an excellent work!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your Rinoa will be beautiful!
Thank you so much Catarina! It's wonderful to get the compliments! :) It was really fun to work on such a special project but it was SUPER time consuming and definitely a 'once in a lifetime' project! Good luck with yours - and I'd love to see how it turns out!
